Wondering if anyone has replaced the black trim at the base of the side windows on a Denali with the pieces from an Escalade. The Cad pieces have chrome trim along the bottom of the windows. But it looks like all the trim around the 4 windows would need to be replaced. I can't imagine that they wouldn't be a direct fit, but never know with the General.

They are not a direct fit. The door shape around the windows is different in the two models and it won't line up.

Seriously? I knew the shape of the mouldings was different but never thought GM would go through the expense of tooling and manufacturing a special door just for the Escalade.

But I'm only recently back into the GM SUV family after 8 years of German SUV ownership.

Yep. Already tried that with mine. Completely different door. Only option is to swap the entire door.

No wonder the Escalade is so much more expensive. And why when I checked with my State Farm agent the Escalade insurance was 30% higher than the Denali.

Thanks everyone.

Wonder if there are any aftermarket companies that make something similar to the Esky trim for fitment on the Tahoe??

Believe it or not I cross shopped a Tahoe Ltz and escalade and ended up buyin the escalade bc I liked it better and insurance was 180 bucks cheaper per 6 months for the escalade. Figured it had to do with the demographic that drives them (mostly old people, though I bought my escalade new at 26 years old)
