Since I moved into the city, I'm getting a solid 13 mpg. BUt, I have a 2.6 mile drive to work. When I was driving 30+ miles to work, I was getting 15-17 mpg, but that was at 55-60 mph almost the whole way.

You are calculating this by hand right? If so that is damn good. Oh you did say mix driving. Never mind.

I wish I got 15 or 16 mpg, If I'm lucky I might get 13 but usually its 11.5 to 12.5. Even on a trip I get about 13. 2 door, 4x4, 3.73 gears, ac on and 33 inch tires.

Switched from 87 octane to 93 octane, about a $.20 difference per gallon around here ($3.80 - $4.00). Went from a steady 13-13.5 mpg to 15.5-16.0 (average, city and highway). NO BB tune, NO CAI, haven't changed anything, just switched grades.

And that's running nearly bald 285/75/16's on the stock gears, with a totally f-ed up alignment, and carrying anywhere from 100-500lbs of extra weight (tools and supplies) almost every mile I drive.

I've had my 4-door 1996 Tahoe for about 3 months now, 285's, 3.73 gears, and I can get 20 on the highway and about 13-15 in town. However I drive pretty tame, I usually try to keep the speed just over 60 on the highway (I think it's the sweet spot for mileage) and I try to keep my foot out of it as much as possible.
