Nothing wrong with the 4l60e in a blazer, jimmy or bravada those are small SUVs meant to haul people not cargo. Tahoes and Yukons lots of people tow with and use it like a pickup truck and load it up. Plus a tahoe weighs almost 1500 pounds more then a blazer. More weight is more stress on the trans.

The 4l60e can't even keep those blazers and jimmys going. My neighbor has a bravada sitting out in the driveway with a bad trans the 4l60e. I go to the salvage yard and it's a sea of blazers and jimmy's and I guarantee 99% of them are there because of the trans not the motor. Those 4.3 vortecs are strong motors.

I think you have to take in account care from the owners as well. Besides every car will have a bad tranny eventually. I don't think the 4l60e is particully really bad or a peice of junk. Every model has their quirks. That what upgraded parts are for.
