Now I have no idea how I came up with that number. Maybe RA? I just checked RA and they list Denso 2344668 as the upstream sensor. They don't list any "GM Genuine" upstream sensors. I have no use for the downstream sensors other than to keep the holes plugged.

Also, RA lists a "GM Genuine 2133866" for the downstream sensor. That's a Denso part number that coincides with what you just posted. Maybe this is how the suspicion that Denso is the OEM for ACDelco/GM Genuine? I'm wondering, with my luck, if I just so happened to rely on RA's info and it was incorrect.


O'Reilly says 213-3866 and 213-4229 are both for downstream for a 2008 Tahoe VIN 0. It says the 234-4668 is the upstream.

Napa guarantees 234-4668, 213-4229, 213-3866 to fit, but doesn't specify position.

The ACDelco Parts Catalog (the one I found) shows 213-3866 and 213-4229 both as downstream.


Screw all this. I'm gonna get Dorman sensors. :p
Swapped upstream O2 sensors today. Out, with the Denso P-B664, and in with the GM/Denso 213-3866/ 12583804. Been having issues with ethanol percentage being calculated to high for a while. Started with replacing O2 sensors a while back to no avail. Replaced fuel pump to see if that would help, and as preventative maintenance, no change. Changed MAP sensor and MAF sensor, no change. I also keep getting a P1174 code almost every time I drive it. Checked and re- torqued the intake manifold bolts, a couple on the driver side were slightly loose, maybe a 1/2 - 3/4 turn. All for nought.

All this talk about O2 sensors prompted me to swap to the "factory original" O2 sensors.

I did notice they are definitely different when I had them out as seen in these pics. OG style has less holes around the side and one hole in the end.

Just figured I would add to the confusion, I mean discussion... lol

I will post later on if this has corrected the issue with the P1174 and the ethanol composition issues. So far no check engine light after driving 75 miles back from my brothers house.

Great timing and looking forward to your alc % results! How are you testing it- test tube with water method? I've never heard of the Denso P-B664 in all of this.

Denso 234 4668 is what RA was saying for mine that I ordered :shrug:

Do you run E85 on yours and did you switch to the physical sensor?
yes, yes

so no idea how they work with the virtual

well not really, before i switched to the virtual i dont think i ever saw over like 60-65% after putting in the sensor same stations were pretty consistantly 72%-85%
but i dont know what the o2 part no was at the time

I have the same O2s as you, as spec'ed by RA. Maybe they work fine for general engine operation but not for the alcohol calculating part. If I can add the physical sensor in where I want it, I'd rather spend the cheese on that than two new/different O2 sensors and still likely not be as accurate with alco %.

I'll be under the Hoe shortly...

i dont think theres anywhere to add it under that already as qdc fittings. i cut mine in right by the abs module where it jumps from the frame to the transmission.
