5.3L would take AC Delco 41-985 per owners manual.

I just bought some OEM plugs and wires off ebay. The wires, 748UU, are coming from "original auto parts xpress" and the 41-985s from a private individual. Research seemed to indicate that the 748UU are better quality than the 9748UU wires. It's tough to find the old 41-985s for a decent price, they've been superceded by a newer PN#.

With that many miles on the original plugs and wires, you should see a difference. I'm not sure if your model has a fuel filter or not, if it does then add that to the list.

Im back guys first of all never changing spark plugs on an nnbs ever again looool
But seriously she starts up better and just feels more responsive gas milage really improved. I wish i had the damn fuel filter

That's great news. I'm sure you have a few scraped knuckles. You have warned you that it helps to have a few beers before you change the plugs and a few more after. Did you change the wires too?

Other than #8 it's all easy going. Also, once you're done, you don't have to worry about it for another 100K miles, so it's not like you need to change them twice a year, or something.
