Help me to understand what I'm reading with a P219A

The below paragraph is from the GM service manual (see attached for the full version) and the way I'm reading it is that if you had any of the listed DTC, a P219A would not set does that also preclude the code from resetting if the listed DTC's are set?

Conditions for Running the Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTC)

*DTCs P0030, P0036, P0050, P0053, P0059, P0101, P0102,P0103, P0106, P0107, P0108, P0117, P0118, P0128, P0131, P0132, P0133, P0134, P0135, P0151, P0152, P0153, P0154, P0155, P0201-P0206, P0300, P0301-P0306, P0411, P0412, P0418, P0442, P0443, P0446, P0449, P0452, P0453, P0454, P0455, P0496, P1133, P1153, P1516, P2101, P2119, P2120, P2125, P2135, P2138, P2176, P2431, P2432, P2433, P2440, P2A00, P2A03 are not set.
* The device control is not active.
* The intrusive diagnostics are not active.
* The engine overspeed protection is not active.
* The power take-off (PTO) is not active.
* The traction control is not active.
* The fuel control is in air-fuel Closed Loop.
* The system voltage is more than 10 V, or less than 18 V.
* The engine run time is greater than 100 s.
* The engine coolant temperature (ECT) is greater than -20°C (-4°F).
* The engine speed is greater than 425 RPM, but less than 6,000 RPM.
* The mass air flow is greater than 25 g/s, but less than 510 g/s.

BBP told me my P219A code (same applies to P219B) was a fuel flow issue, and suggested checking for restrictions in the fuel lines, fuel rail, or for dirty/clogged injectors.

I ended up installing new injectors, but the code still occasionally returns randomly at after a WOT redline-romp, but not always.

I replaced all 8 injectors about one year ago with OEM's

as I understand it, fault codes are a sub routine that runs once certain settings are fulfilled, and if that routine returns a value outside of expect, it sets the code.

from looking at your list, if any of those other fault codes are set would stop the routine from running. and then a list of conditions that need to be met to start.

i went back to my stock intake and changed out my aftermarket Denso O2 sensors for OEM GM O2's. I do have a P0442 I just haven't had the time to put my smoke machine on it yet. Hense my question for a p442 is listed as one of the DTC that would disrupt the process od setting a P219a I'm wondering if it will also prevent it from clearing for in the past it would before I had the P442.

I believe there's 3 stages of codes too. like current, history and permanent. each take different things to remove them.

but it does seem possible that having one of the codes that stops the sub routine from running would keep it from self turning off. but I'd guess a scanner would clear it? I have no experience with your specific code on my vehicle, just that sma video and general over view of how codes work from hptuners and emissions codes

On the P219 code I have checked and double checked everything and can't seem to find anything. The P442, (Evaporative Emission (EVAP) System Small Leak Detected) which just popped up should be a fairly easy fix once I get my smoke machine hooked up.

I got the small leak fault on mine when I replaced the charcoal canister and it wasn't made correctly and had a leak in the case.
was oem gm from rock auto too.

I basically replaced the canister, vent valve, and purge valve about three years ago and this P422 just popped up a week ago.

Carbon pellets leaking from evap canister? Those little suckers migrate like termites throughout your entire fuel system if the leaky canister isn’t caught in time.

Usually it doesn’t leave a DTC, just a poorly running engine, stalls and gas fill nozzle won’t stay on and constantly clicks off.
