Curious why leasing changes your attitude on the truck? You're still paying the depreciation on it which is what everyone does...even if they buy...its just a different format for paying for the depreciation (you pay for it up front, buyers pay for it when they sell it/trade it)

One less asset on the books. Leasing is always better for a business.
I don't care if my vehicles have slight issues because they are being returned in 3 years. If I was one to keep a vehicle long term, I would be more concerned.

Got it. It's the length of the time you hold it. I can see that. I usually have cars for 4 years and so if it's got an issue it will drive me nuts if I have to deal with it for that long.

I wrapped electrical tape around the tailgate hatch latch and the rear window hatch latch to tighten it up a bit. It hasnt resolved all my buffeting issues, but has helped a lot. The reason I tried this was because I had my wife drive while I was all the way in the back of the tahoe, and I could feel the rear hatch glass pulsing at the rubber seals as she drove.

Wow ^ I wonder if that helped at all.
The window foam made zero difference. I *thought* that I was able to make some difference by moving the Styrofoam around the hatch, but it wasn't noticeable. In the end, the hatch wasn't responsible for the buffeting. At least in my case.

The 6th tire replacement (getting them all below 15lb RF balanced) made the biggest impact. I reintroduced the buffeting when I switched to my BFG K02s and made it disappear again by having them RF balanced (w. 2 exchanges) as well.

The boom was seemingly solved by adding 6 dampers to the exhaust. No GM part numbers supplied.

The vibration was solved with a rear axle replacement - rotor to rotor - the whole thing.

My headliner was pulled off, but my roof rails were found to be OK.

It was a long road, but I'm finally able to enjoy my Yukon.

2015i built in April 2015.

Today I enjoyed another ~300 miles in southwest Florida with 6 passengers and gear for the beach. The Yukon is perfectly smooth right through 100mph.

So there's hope for some of us...seriously glad to hear all is still good. I am having new michelins put on our 15 Yukon tomorrow in hopes of reducing if not eliminating the buffeting prior to our long road trip. I dropped down to the 20s with a used set of tires and it reduced it greatly so hopefully a new set of quality tires road forced and under 15lbs will only improve things.

Which model of Michelin's? I'll be getting a set to replace my Continentals the moment they make one peep!

For the record, I've only had 20s on mine, including the BFGs.

Our trucks are sensitive - even 18lbs RF on the rear can result in buffeting. IIRC, they got my BFGs to 12, 10, 10 and 8.
