What kind of scrubbing you have on the rear?

What kind of scrubbing you have on the rear?
Just ever so slightly on the plastic inner liners front and rear of the tires where they jut out toward the tires to clear things underneath

So I bought these 22s from a guy that said "I accidently used some mag wheel polish on these and messed the finish up". I originally thought it was just stuff caked on top of the clear. Tried buffing them today and it's not. I burned through a small spot in the paint with just rubbing compound on a power cone :facepalm:

Pretty bummed, but I only paid 900 and they have brand spanking new tires on them so even getting them refinished, I'll be in them wayyy less than buying everything new. So for now they're just sealed and I put the spikes back on. Also buffed my tail lights.

Cannot get over how good this thing looks low

So. Been riding around for a few weeks now, knew the rear was really close to the bump stops. Decided it rides like shit, I'm gonna pull the bumps to see how it rides after that 2-3" clearance gain.

Does anybody have some tips for the free travel mod? The passenger side is easy but it looks like I'll have to drop the tank for the drivers side. Chime in with some advise if you've done it!

Also, what are you running for a bump stop on the frame after you've done it and where did you get it? My searches have come up empty handed so far

Hey guys, I’ve been gone for a long time, not even lurking cuz the past year has been crazy. Saving for our first house, changing jobs, buying a new house, getting the kid’s schools changed, wife changing jobs and life happening haven’t left much room for mods. But I’m finally able to play a little bit again.

The truck is still sitting 2/3 with decranked stock keys and Belltech 3/4 coils and Belltech sway bars but I sold the 22s cuz it rode so bad with all that sprung weight. I did take off the roof rack though.

Need to grab some Allen key set screws to plug the holes, the stock bolts stick wayyy too far up

Also sold the 22s last year to help with the house fund plus they rode like shit. A buddy of mine has an 06 Sierra that’s been 4/6 dropped for the last 4 years but he wanted to change it up and lift. So he offered me his polished GMC 20s and almost new 265/50/20 Toyo STs for a song and I also got my spike lugs back from him

Next I did the OEM big brake upgrade. Got a good deal through the NAPA my dad dealt with for many years:
2 NAPA fleet series HD 13” rotors
2 NAPA premium rear stock size rotors
2 05+ semi-loaded calipers with brackets
2 sets of Adaptive One ceramic pads
A T55 torx to get the stock front calipers off

Forgot a few things at NAPA so I had to stop by pep boys by my house for:
Brake fluid
Red high temp paint
Anti seize
2 cans of brake clean

When I bought my truck a year ago, it came from a dealer that said they turned the rotors and put new pads on. The clearly did not, these rotors had had multiple sets of pads on them and they had the cheapest duralast pads ever on them. 12k miles on “new” pads and I only had 2 mils left. I wasn’t planning on doing this quite yet but couldn’t take the squealing any more.

Between painting, cleaning and wrestling with stubborn bolts, this took me about 4.5 hrs. After a re-bleed the next day of all 4 corners, this thing stops great! Totally worth the $380 spent after I get my core charge back.

Next up, 2” Belltech spindles, shorter rear sway bar endlinks and pulling the rear spring spacer and isolators. Hoping to get another 1.5” all the way around while being able to crank the bars back up a smidge up front to add some stiffness back in. It’s a touch soft right now with no tension on the T-bars.
