Ok, so some of you may not know, but I'm in the process of building a system that will make sweet, sweet love to my ears.

Mob is helping with specing it out and finding pieces.

Below is the list of what's going in it. If this doesn't seem dope to you, you may be dead.

I'm still on the fence about the ipad in the dash or mounted below the dash. I love my pioneer d3. And there are somethings the ipad just wont do well, like navigation. lol.

This build probably won't be complete for another 2-3 months. Right now I have half the Focal's and the amps are on the way. The boxes are super easy and I know where I can grab some JLs for cheap. I might...MIGHT...run W1s, don't know yet. I can get them for half the price of the W3s, though. We shall see.


And hell yeah I made a spread sheet. I'm going to keep adding to this and update it as more stupid ideas come to mind.

if you go w1s you should use 4 so you end up with a more normal overall ohm load.. 3 speakers always end up being weird ohm loads no matter how you wire them to one amp.

Well.. if he decides to run W1s which i doubt he will do at the end of the day..

then all he has to do it buy the 8w3s to match the ohm load of the 12s

so..

if he runs dual 2 ohm 8w3s then he can run each one at 4ohms.. then run the 4ohm 12w1s and run them all into the monoblock as 1 0.8 load which is fine on a half ohm stable amp.


OR he can run the 8s in a dual 4 and run them as 7 4ohm loads into a 0.57 load.. which is still perfectly fine on his 1/2 ohm stable amp.



in reality... he will proably run dvc 12s in the form of the 12w3s so we will have even more options... but running the appropriate 8s will make the ohm load fine either way.



Besides.. on a post 3rd row box.. 4 wont fit.

Yeah, I was thinking about this earlier, running 3 8s at 8 ohm and 3 12 at 8ohm. But no, i'm running 2 8s at 4 on one channel and 3 12s at 4 on the other. I don't want the W1s.

You guys dont even want to know that I spent last night crunching numbers to see what I'd have to do to run w6s and 2 8s. I came to the conclusion that to make them do what they need to do I'd have to run two amps for the subs and then still need another for the highs. I'm trying to make this shit sing and be inconspicuous at the same time so that's out of the question. Plus I'd have to get rid of my 3rd row to build a box with enough airspace to run the 3 w6s
