Since I've had my trucks it's always idled a lil rough so cleaned the MAF, TB, new AC Delco plugs and wires, it's a lil better, no codes, if your sitting for more then a minute or two it gets rough if your just driving around it's fine, what else is there to look at? I'm not losing any coolant or oil, but the intake manifold gaskets seem to be a pretty common issue from what I've read

It had a shake too it. Bad fuel mileage.

That's what mine does when it's stopped, but still gets decent mileage took a nice trip on the highway last weekend and got 14.6 mpg still getting 10ish in the city, with your bad intake gasket did it accelerate bad? Cause mine still takes off good

To be honest. I drove it only three times on the Hwy before I changed it. And owned less than a week. My miliage was down to 10 on the Hwy. After I changed the intake gasket ,tune up and cleaned the intake throttle body ect. I got it to 15-15.5. With was an improvement. Shortly after that I drove it to Florida and got it up to 18.6mpg. It was a 2200 km trip from there I live one way. After I got back it was a steady 16 Hwy 12.5 city.
I now have a 6.0 4l65 in it and it's the same mileage.

Update: check engine light came on got P0300 Googled it and looks like the intake gaskets leaking can trigger that code, bringing it by the shop next week, gonna inspect the valve covers too and if they need it do the valve cover gaskets too

It's an easy job to do. The hardest part was getting the fuel lines off.
Are you doing yours ?

If it was warmer out I would but it's around 30 this time of year now, used one of those repair estimate sites which have been pretty accurate in the past looks like for around $546 they can do the intake and valve cover gaskets
