On that subject, how about the little foam pieces under the intake?
Two pieces that seem to serve to catch dirt and heat... :jester:

I forgot them when i put my engine together.

I've removed those in EVERY LS engine I've owned over the years. In the GMT800, the foam may protect the knock sensors, but in the GMT900 I don't see the purpose at all. Mine are gone, the 4 corner steam kit I have won't allow that foam anyhow, haha.

I looked at the 4 corner steam kit when i did my engine last month, my afr heads have all 4 drilled out...
those extra lines look like a serious pita. :jester:

They are indeed a pita!!! I also had to make 2 very small notches on the ribbing under the intake. The notches I had to make didn't remove any structure.
