if i didn't have to pay the difference on new wheels, i'd take those rotors! if you still have them te beginning of next month we'll have to work out a deal.

I have to do my rear and front brakes too and my mechanic/buddy told me that just doin the back brakes and re adjusting them will fix alot of the play i have in my pedal so ill elt you guys kno if that works for me

Most of the time spongy pedal on these trucks is from under adjusted rear brakes.

The biggest difference we will notice will most likely come from a master cylinder with a larger bore. ABS on a truck with larger than stock tires is a bad thing. Big tires take more brake to stop obviously and the ABS thinks that amount of pressure will lock up so it backs the pressure off the calipers, that simple. Pull the fuse is the quickest way around the ABS...next step is take it all out and pipe it.

This is so very TRUE... I had the same problems with spongy feel and fading... even after replacing the front rotors and pads I was still getting the same unassuring feel..

talked to several people and decided to tighten up the rear shoes in the drums.... low and behold.. truck stops much more confidently now and pedal feel is much better as well..... yet still... our OBS trucks certainly could benifit from some larger brakes.
