You ever get the old motor out?

Nope I've been way too busy. I've decided I'm probably going to have to pull the transmission out with it, unless somebody has a better idea.

I would pull the front clip and pull them together ... Not much more work really ... and you don't have to have the engine dangling 30 feet in the air to get it out.

Side Note: Buddy of mine blew up his SBF stroker in his race car, same thing, engine was locked solid, we ended up pulling the engine and TC out together instead of both at the same time ... you could probably manage that ...

Oh and another thing, will I have to leave the transfer case on or can I unbolt it from the transmission? I'm just not exactly sure how everything is connected in there.

I pulled my tq converter out with my engine and had no problems, just replace the front seal on your trans..

Well guys its been a while but I'm on spring break now and finally have time to work on the truck. I picked up an engine at a local salvage yard and I'm about to drop it in today. I noticed it was missing something on the back of the intake manifold that my original had. Here's a pic of the original.

Sadly I don't even know what it's for, could somebody enlighten me?

Can anybody verify for me which transmission fluid line connection on the transmission end is for intake and which is for output, as well as the oil cooler lines. I know for the radiator it goes in through the top one and comes out the bottom one, but I want to make sure I don't have it mixed up on the other end of the lines.
