Just got my estimate. $6908. $100 deductible is all I have to pay.
Just hit a deer in my Avalanche. FML.

Tell the body shop you want a check for whatever they were gonna pay for new headlights. That will not only pay the $100 deductible, but give you some $ that you paid for your retro.
Kinda like getting some of the parts yourself. Happens all the time and your body shop shouldn't have an issue with it.

Just called and told them I'm bringing my own headlights. Can't wait to see the retrofit in!!! They said the repairs will be done on Feb. 14th.

maybe down the line. My hesitation is the burb being driven so much by the wife. Not that she's a bad driver but she does have her 'episodes' about every 2 years where she'll have an incident with one of the vehicles. I can't imagine what the reaction would be if she did something that resulted in $1k-$1500 lights being trashed
