Those type of coolers are basically for race only type apps... Good for cooling for
a few minutes at a time... But NOT for a regular driver, esp not for a tow vehicle...
So stay away from it

My derale cooler w fan is very quiet.. You can hear it from outside the cabin - but NOT over
the regular cooling fans if they are running... Really not at all inside the cabin

Have you guys seen this or one like it. Granted we are all partial to either the Tru-Cool or the Derale, but this design seemed like a great idea for mounting in the lower bumper area.

there was one review
"Running on a TH400 with a 5500 stall (yes high slipping when cruising) This cooler was not enough on its own. I had to install a second cooler in addition to this one. Product itself was high quality and like the inline filter feature."
I used a flex a lite first before the tru-cool, the flexa lite is a tube style like that one, it didn't really help at all.

So for future reference I just measured the cfm of the 700w 7/9 rimmed blade (k5l) fans both sides measured approx 2300 cfm on high, measured inside the engine compartment right up against the fan, can anyone measure the dual 5 blade non rimmed 700w? You just need a anemometer
I have this same meter and wanted to get a comparison reading on my fans. What settings did you use for your reading? I know you can enter in a sq ft variable before taking the cfm reading

I just pushed the button until it said cfm, then made sure the fans were on high, usually you can make them go high with the ac on and idling, mine is tuned to make the fans come on at a lower temp.

You have to have a sample area set. The meter does remember the last one entered. It's the top number on the screen and is in squared feet. 20210712_103141.jpg

I have a Mishimoto radiator with mine and so far I haven't had any temps over 200. I live in the foot hills near Boulder, CO and the hottest day it's been is 85. I've only heard my fans go on HI twice so far. It's going to be a hot weekend, I'll take it up the mountains above 10k feet and report how it does. My set up is still pretty new too, I hope everything keeps it's cool. I do have a 4 corner steam kit on mine, maybe that helps a bit?
What Mishi radiator do you have?
