I have a 2004 Tahoe Z71 and have been getting a wet carpet on the front passenger side. I thought it was coming from cowl, but yesterday, we had massive storm and happened to be in the truck at the time.
Water started coming in near door hinge, through carpet, under plastic trim that holds carpet down at bottom of door. I could not see any water inside (under dash, or on door). I suspect it is coming from seals, and somehow, getting under this trim piece.
All seals are in great shape and flexible. I have not yet looked to see if I am missing a piece of gasket but a quick look did not reveal anything out of the ordinary. I will compare both sides to see when I get a moment.
EDIT: Final fix/solution was due to an exterior window belt (gasket) that was too short (by 1/4") and not sealing at front of door, under mirror gasket. Water was leaking down into door, and wiring harness, and into vehicle.
