Quick question on the color to get for my bulbs when i do this..
I have the escalade gauges meaning the board is that blue color. Should i get a white or straight up blue? would orange do something crazy with the blue board?? thanks guys

It will look like this if you use white LEDs with the 120mph escalade/denali cluster.

If you have ever opened up you gauges completely you'll see that every indicator is painted a different color...battery is red, turn signals are green and so on. They did this so they would not have to use different colored bulbs for each application and just use white bulbs for everything.

Noooooow, if you wanted to switch the color of something you would be able to. Like FF40 mentioned making the turn signals blue or red. You would have to take your gauges completely apart, remove the lens, needles...blah blah blah. Then you would pry the backing off, the backing is what all the numbers and so are printed on, you would have to turn it over and you will see that the turn signals are green, just sand them down until they are see through, now you can put in blue or red LEDs and you will now have blue or red turn signals.

Yeah, confusing I know. I'll see if I pry mine apart and take some pictures. Is not as complicated as it sounds.

Yeah like on your cluster you have that teal color, you can sand that down till you get it clear and get some blue LEDs and you would be set. You can throw blue LEDs in there but the teal would wash them out a bit

looking to do this to mine since about half of the lights are burnt out. i only want to do the guages heater controls and 4wd indicator since thats burnt out, and its dark down there at night. i want to do blue ones and from reading this should i do the blues for the guages or white to get the blue look? also whats the size for the 4wd indicator? i say thats all i want to do now but im sure down the road id do doors and other lights too. radios half burnt out but im getting a alpine headunit so not worried about that.

heres my list. does it look right?
T1.5 Instrument LED bulb x4
WLED-x5 LED Wide Angle LED bulb x6
what else do i need for the 4wd on floor

Lol damn, way to bring back an one year old thread.

Here you go, this was on the first page:
http://tahoeyukonforum.com/forum/showthread.php?t=1352

And list looks good.

haha sorry didnt want to start a new thread for it. how much did it cost yall to do just dash and heater, cart shows around 30 right now not with 4wd light.

so the 4wd is just 2 194's should i just get same ones as im gettin for guages? they are kinda spendy at 3.74 per bulb.
