I got these for turn signals: http://www.v-leds.com/5K-TYPE-2-DUAL-COLOR-p7114832-1-2.html

These resistors should stop the hyperflash: http://autolumination.com/equalizers.htm
Scroll down to Load Equalizers, I have 6 ohm, 50w, though I hear 25w works too.

I bought these for the DRLs: http://www.ebay.com/itm/130771504496?ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1497.l2649

And two of these: http://autolumination.com/equalizers.htm
Scroll down to LED Protectors

I will admit that some of this is on the way to me and not installed, so if you wait a bit I can let you know how it goes. Currently I have some cheap switchbacks from ddm that aren't working so well (flash 5-10 times for signal and then just turn off) and I've blown one of my DRLs already, so I'm redoing all of it.

I've had V-LED's in my DRL's for at least 2 years now with no protectors. I think the '09's did not turn on until you put it in gear though.................

Yeah I think that feature started in 08. I drove an 08 as a lender for a few days and the DRLs were like yours.

is there an easier way to get these DRL and turn signal bulbs out, other than taking the bumper off to get the headlight out?

I take enough loose to pull the top of the bumper out a bit, I don't actually take it completely off, then take the headlights out. I haven't figured out a way to do it otherwise, especially since you're going to have to do some wiring work for the switchbacks.
