Well.... here's the short version. 2013 Tahoe with 14k on it. Been to GM three separate times for floppy windows when half way down.
Trip 1. Checked windows and verified they are lose when down half way or more. Trip 2. They replaced the window regulators and that didn't do ****. Trip 3. They looked at them again and said they checked a '14 Tahoe on the lot and it did the same thing so it's "normal" for that vehicle. Give me a F'in break.
Over time opening and closing all the time the metal inside the rubber gasket gets pushed in too far.
So the fix...
1. Remove door panels.
2. Pull off the rubber gasket between the window and the car.
3. There's metal inside the rubber gasket so if you spread it apart it will hold the shape and give a tighter fit up against the window.
4. Reinstall gasket and door panel. Ba bam! No more floppy floperton!
