magnaflow 12589? yay or nay

Sorry to bring this one back from a 2 month slumber, but I just moved back to the mainland from Oahu and can make some recommendations for exhaust shops if you haven't already taken care of the exhaust. I can especially tell you who to stay away from... Let me know.

cut off resonator 4x9x18 would sound loud

I had long tubes/no cats/no resonator on my old tbss with the 5x8x18 and thing sounded mean.

I am torn between the 12589 and the 12259. I don't want it to be silent in the truck riding around, but I definitely don't want it loud. This is the wifes daily driver and we love the quietness, but I want to have a little tone to it. I think reso delete and 12589 is gonna be the best ticket as long as it isn't completely silent?

Not completely silent. You hear it most when passing. If just cruising down the highway at 60-75 you'll just hear a low rumble. So you'll notice a difference over stoke but nothing like a Flowmaster type drone.

I've done many local ones and sold this set up in here also.

If your taking resonator off you can do the 5x8x18 on the 5.3. On 6.2 its little loud.

plan is resonator delete, and one of the two mufflers. I want to hear it when i dig in the throttle and don't mind hearing it a little around town. I am mainly wanting noise at idle and slight noise in the vehicle when around town driving...none on highway

Install the magnaflow in place of OEM and add a Electric cutout. before magnaflow.
Install old resonator to the cutout side to tone it down some.

Win.
