Is the cylinder damaged? Hard to tell from the pic.

So I was recording what I thought was a lifter tick for you all to hear as a before shot. Well it turned into total carnage, but during the surprise of it all, I forgot to stop recording. I think only like 3 mins of this are relevant.

You guys were waaaayyyyy too calm! Is resleeving an option?

The nicks in the sleeve aren't too bad, when it let loose the engine was less than 500 RPM. I think I'll save it and fix it, maybe drop it in my truck, lol

I think it can be saved, but time is an issue. I'm leaning towards buying a LS3 block and stuffing it with good stuff...

I have to tell the site I have an Escalade in case anyone wondered. The site doesn't believe there is a 6.2 Tahoe, hahaha

you planning on keeping it forever?

Also you reminded me I still have the first crankshaft that the thrust bearing ate up. I don't think they wanted to clean it up and expect it to perform as a new one. Going to run it by my local guy and see if he thinks it can be saved for something with a few less hp

With as rare as it it, I'm planning on keeping it forever. It is also hard to find a vehicle that just...fits... If that makes sense. I always to a double take when I park it, if I wake up in the middle of the night, I look outside to make sure it's ok, haha. I love my hoe...
