What are these sound/boom box meets called? Last time I saw one was atleast 15 years ago. Curious to see what DFW has to offer.

All this High End Car Audio started out in southern California. It worked its way across the country back in the 80's. I had a 'System' installed in my Trans Am back in 1990. Those huge Amps,Speakers,Subs,Alternators were readily available by the 2000's.

I think a system is probably one of the most common mods to a vehicle that a teenager does because of the music they listen to. I don't listen to a lot of the same music that my generation listens to but I do listen to a lot of music with bass so that was my reasoning for getting my 2 12's and 2500 watts. That and the factory sub was blown :D

Yeah I did buy it used. But it wasn't just the sub that was blown. EVERY speaker in the Tahoe was
You might think they are but probably just a few are and the rest have loose wires/contacts. Mine are blown too but a few still try to come to life once in a while. remove your door panels you will see the wires might not even be connected or broken.

If they weren't blown they were on their way out. You couldn't go past half volume without it cuttting out
