This is a pretty labor intensive project. And I can certainly see where a problem would come in when an led that’s supposed to last 10 or 20 years fails in 6 months, and then you’ve got to ship it back, replace ship... yeah. I could see that being a PITA.I’m not exactly sure on that. Luckily I have a few good wrecking yard sources local Incase anything happens to a switch or something. When my buddy sent his stuff over a piece of tape in the package accidentally got stuck to the climate control and broke the center screen cover off, so I had to go get him a new cover, and also a steering wheel button and fog light switch cause his were worn out. I haven’t figured out if I want to start doing this all the time on the side. Right now I have done all mine, rebuilt a buddies cluster and now doing a fully loaded Tahoe LT set of switches for my buddies Tahoe. My main worry is being liable for stuff breaking or leds going out etc. I might be down to start doing more in the near future but as of for now i need to get a bench setup for testing everything and being able to find the polarity without having to use a friends truck to do so. I will just have to let you know On it after I can get those things ironed out. Basically I’m in the r&d stages of this right now and need to build up my confidence level with them before I get in over my head. being able to juggle a full time job, doing stuff like this, audio competitions, and still have spare time for family and what not is another concern.
