Funny story. Back when I was about 6 my babysitter had a rx7. No idea what stereo was in it at all cause I was so little but I remember everytime she would drive us somewhere I would cover my ears screaming to turn it down.......

....anddd now I’m here louder than a jet taking off with my front doors open playing music :chewie:

From my very first truck, through 20 other vehicles, to my Tahoe they have all had some type of aftermarket stereo. The Tahoe just for some reason has turned into my sound rig that I’m trying to keep together and still make nice overall.

my fascination with loud stereos started as a teenager then progressively got worse in my early 20’s. I can’t control it now #circlingthedrain haha.
have a couple things on the list to do here shortly (I hope) and I got a big surprise that came in the mail today but I gotta wait till I have daylight for better pics to show you guys. I have Been searching for these for 4 years is gonna be my only hint.

@jonnytahoe yes the pacific wonderlands look so much better than the trailblazer plates. And a lot cheaper!!

Another wrecking yard score today! Paint matched door handles! Unfortunately it was a hatch so I still have to paint my barn door handle. And the mirrors were very scratched up but I had planned on paint matching my mirror caps anyways once it warms up some. I got them put on but it was dark and she is dirty so I’m gonna try to wash it tomorrow and post installed pictures CE56E108-F13E-4873-A9CE-530EA8C708AD.jpeg

Yes I was planning on painting mine this summer anyways but I got lucky I just need to paint my rear one so saves me a bunch of time and prep work.

also didn’t get a chance to wash the Tahoe today. Had to replace stepper motors in my buddies cluster, and spent a good 6-7 hours on switching leds in all the switches for a Tahoe. I’m still not done. Got the difficult and time consuming stuff done today though, the 03-06 driver and passenger window switches and seat heaters are tedious and time consuming at least they were for me hahaha. Gotta get all his dash stuff converted and shipped back to him.

How much would you charge to do that? I got my backlights in my cluster replaced last week but I wanted to change them to blue LEDs as well as all of my switches and stuff

I’m not exactly sure on that. Luckily I have a few good wrecking yard sources local Incase anything happens to a switch or something. When my buddy sent his stuff over a piece of tape in the package accidentally got stuck to the climate control and broke the center screen cover off, so I had to go get him a new cover, and also a steering wheel button and fog light switch cause his were worn out. I haven’t figured out if I want to start doing this all the time on the side. Right now I have done all mine, rebuilt a buddies cluster and now doing a fully loaded Tahoe LT set of switches for my buddies Tahoe. My main worry is being liable for stuff breaking or leds going out etc. I might be down to start doing more in the near future but as of for now i need to get a bench setup for testing everything and being able to find the polarity without having to use a friends truck to do so. I will just have to let you know On it after I can get those things ironed out. Basically I’m in the r&d stages of this right now and need to build up my confidence level with them before I get in over my head. being able to juggle a full time job, doing stuff like this, audio competitions, and still have spare time for family and what not is another concern.
