After waiting a full week for hardware to finally show up I got the bank assembled and it was sitting at about 13.6v. Got the balancer connected and charged it to 15.6 in prep to go into the Tahoe. View attachment 273878View attachment 273879View attachment 273880
Since I do have the battery in front of the sub box it will see a lot more vibration so I put a layer of canopy foam at the bottom of the battery case and underneath the battery case as well.

Got the battery in the case and I’ll tell you what it’s not the lightest to try to gently put into an all acrylic housing hahaha

Holy shit man! That’s some next-level shit right there!!! Daaamn!

First item was to move a ground from passenger to driver side then while I was under there I re cleaned all the frame grounds and re installed. DC930A1D-39E8-4CC3-8B50-6D6014F342AF.jpeg Luckily between my scraps and my buddies scraps of wire I had enough to redo everything. Since the limitless sat on its side with the power and grounds facing the front horizontally I had everything wired specifically for it. So I had to redo pretty much everything besides the amp power wires that are attached to the fuse block. I ordered more tech flex so once that comes in next week I’ll pull those 4 power runs and get them wrapped then I’ll be able to toe and organize all the wiring so it’s pretty and suits my ocd. I messed up on that last post with picture order lol. Got the mechman H104L harnesses connected to bump the voltage up. And it worked as you can see in the last post voltage cold is sitting at 16 then once it warms up it has been sitting around 15.5-15.8 which is perfect. It’s insane being able to play my stereo at 12000+ watts with one battery and not drop below 15v! E2BAE854-B233-44DC-AF0A-06FBEE49D737.jpeg
Got super lucky today though. A local audio shop owner is parting out a 05 denali extended cab he bought. It was walled with 4 15’s and had a super clean stereo build including lots of super nice components throughout. Basically this shop owner bought it and want to turn it back to stock. I wish I would have found the deal though the truck is immaculate with 40k original miles and he paid 6k for it. Which he will easily make back selling the audio equipment alone.

but anyways what I was getting at is I bought some custom build door panels. They look a lot better in pics they could use a sand and refresh the paint is chipping in places. But I paid 400 bucks for the front pair, with all speakers included. These type of panels normally would be around a grand or maybe even a grand a piece. Also picked up this digital sound processor from a buddy so at some point this will go in and control both my 4 channels D2E63E0E-00B5-49DC-BE52-67F478C520CC.jpeg

Took a few pictures of the equipment in the denali I don’t know why I didn’t think to take pics of the whole truck it was insanely clean though. I had seen it back at 2017 at a show but hadn’t seen it again until today. I know some of it looks messy but he is in the middle of returning it to factory. The build quality and integration of the smd meters in the dash plus the iPad for the 03-06 console made me wish I had a 03-06 console for mine. 54C9D446-26C8-4183-92B5-26D1611943CE.jpeg030A6C88-DED0-40DA-8FBE-8D8A7ACB1751.jpeg420AEA67-36EA-4C95-808F-5092CB9D743C.jpeg5DEC07F6-9BAC-4D96-8015-00ABD6AB57C2.jpegCE9E8BA1-8A1F-4720-BF1F-1B8E8A5FF30F.jpeg

I think the wiring just looks that much crazier because the only thing differentiating the power and ground is the heat shrink color on the ends so it blends together lol.

I got most of it tied off and managed now so it looks a little better C918E8D5-1FA4-4AA8-AE31-EBFCFAEB334D.jpeg0049B34F-3086-4CA4-AD02-B99AA5E29DF0.jpeg EEE7B111-7626-4EEC-A7F1-DEED34F83E52.jpeg
Had the first audio competition of the season a couple weeks back. Was a good time the Tahoe did great bringing home two first place trophy’s and staying consistent metering a 155.8. Had to sneak a picture at the end of the day but it’s the only pic I took hahaha I had a two hour drive home that night so I decided to give the new battery a test. Drove home song after song all the way up for two hours. Subs and amps stayed cool and my voltage stayed above 15.0 I’m so stoked on this new battery setup. 3D1991CC-3DB3-4950-A8F1-0D692A3A2E04.jpeg

Friday after work I got two more runs of speaker wire to each door, got the second DC 90.4 4 channel installed under the rear driver seat, and both panels installed after putting my handles and switches on them from the stock door panels. The speakers that are in these doors are super cheap pro audio speakers. Like 40 bucks a piece cheap. They are surprisingly clear though and holy crap they scream. I have maybe 60 watts going to each speaker currently and it’s more than enough. Hopefully sooner rather than later I’ll have the funds for the DC carbon neo 6.5s. One ****** thing about it is now I have 8 speakers to buy just for the front doors so it adds up quick haha. These panels are pretty heavy and after this season I’m gonna try to sand some weight off of them and wrap them to match the factory charcoal panels/dash but I’ll keep the handles the light grey I really like the two tone.
