Need to knock some brains together for a trans issue - Codes Brought to the table

So, put in a new trans, got less then 200 miles on it and it went out. What happened was that I took off a line, in pursuit to enjoy my new shift kit, and as it shifted from 1-2, it shifted harder than it normally did since I put it in and revved up really high, then shifted into 2nd after I let off the gas and I had forward movement. Well I came to a stop and since it shifted into first again, I had zero forward movement, Moving it into D 3 2 1, nothing, however I had reverse fine. So I backed it up and parked it to get towed. Well I got to messing with it a little tonight and started thinking. I pulled the trans fuse and I have D and 3, but no 2 or 1, so it goes into limp mode. Put the fuse back in and lose all forward movement again. I also cannot get the 4WD to activate at all, I press 4HI and it just sits and flashes and flashes and flashes, even after I rock the truck. This makes no difference if the fuse is in or not.
So before I tear out the trans again, I was reading that a sheared input shaft in the TCase could also cause forward movement issues (GM tech writing about it) I put Dex 3 into the Tcase, full to the top, until it was coming out the fill hole.

Let it be known, this transmission was completely rebuilt, not a used one or anything.

Any thoughts?

EDIT - Additionally.... Doubt it makes a difference, I had to cut the cross pipe out to remove the trans, didn't weld it back in, so it leaked and caused an 02 Sensor code to come up. Like I said, doubt this would cause anything, but hey, figured I'd throw it out there too.

EDIT 2 - Also wanted to note, when you press the 4HI, you can hear the actuator "click," so it does make an attempt to lock in 4WD

do you have enough trans fluid in there? did you fill the torque convertor before install? do you have an aftermarket tc or stock? if stock was it cleaned and freshened? what caused the old trans to go bad?

Plenty of fluid. Filled TC before install. Aftermarket. Came with the Trans. 1650 stall.

Old Trans failed because it had 220k on it and something caused it to wear internally and crack the housing

Is it throwing a trans code? Get it scanned and see what it says

Since you have forward movement when you pull the fuse I would rule out mechanical issues. Sounds more like electric to me. Start simple... disconnect the battery, put the fuse back in. Disconnect the plugs to the transmission and transfer case. Pay attention to any debris in the plugs and sockets. You can use MAF spray cleaner for cleaning out the connections. I have even used WD-40. Lightly lube up the seals on the plugs so they fully seat into the sockets. Then reconnect everything and give it a shot.

BTW if you have a push button transfer case i'm pretty sure you should be using AutoTrac II fluid not Dex.

I'll try getting a scanner tomorrow. Pain in the ass with my after work schedule. Battery was dead for quite some time now so the pcm reset but I'll check connections too

Sounds like you may have damaged a solenoid, one of the forward accumulators, or a pressure switch.

Well at long last I got a reader! Damn schedule and kids and what not. Anyways no codes pulled up...

---------- Post added at 01:47 PM ---------- Previous post was at 01:24 PM ----------

One plug. Goes into the tail end of the transfer case where the slip yoke is. That one doesn't sit too well

Edit again.... so I didn't scroll down far enough on my scanner. Got a p1886. Gotta get a voltage checker and what not. Before I drop the pan I'm going to test the voltage for the pcm, ignition, solenoids. Etc. Grrr

And again.... checked voltage. It's at 11.7 at fuse 20. Gonna post some pics too with questions.

this is the plug that doesn't seem to sit perfect. Think it's the holding tab tho

Grounds. Haven't been removed but look ugly as sin. This is wisconsin tho.

Not sure where the ground goes up through there

This is up by the front diff. One wire is slightly exposed. I'll have to tape that up or something. Looked like it rubbed or got cut or something.

this blue thing is hanging. I know it locks a connector. Can't figure out where. It's by the shifter.

This is a shot in the dark. Not sure what this connecter is for. Hose for power steering pump doused it when it sprung a hole.
