looking good 2doorfiend. about your Volant intake. my first 2 door has a Volant on it and I ditched fender mounts that came with the kit and rigged up a mount with thick rubber washers and some long bolts. kind of a PIA but after I got it on I loved it. I have the K&N on my truck now and while it fits better I actually liked the enclosed box of the Volant more. ( only because I have been known to drive in some mud from time to time lol)

if you have the money laying around buy it NOW! the diesels are a easy sell if you decide not to keep it. and lots of fun if you do.

That's a sweet diesel two door, but looks like it has some low oil pressure at idle.

Noticed that also but the gauges were all over the place. The needles were bouncing back and forth. Looks like the cluster needs replacing.

Update

Finally made it up north, put the new wheels on, and got some new towing mirrors...

now the only thing i need to do is figure out how to wire this radar detector in... I wanted to wire it into the button that turns on my reading light (I saw my uncle did it with his BMW M5) but it didn't work for some reason... anyone know if it doesn't have enough power? its a passport 9500x, I wired it directly to the power and ground wire. please help :)

forgot, i got a bull bar and lifted it 4" too... its been a while since i've been on :chair:
I had one problem recently, coming down out of a pass, I started smelling something burning... i pulled over and my front breaks were smoking... are the wheels really that much heavier? or is there something else going on? It just recently had a brake job and new pads before i bought it. should i get slotted rotors and new pads? thanks

on the 2 door diesel... I'm for anything 2 door tahoe/yukon/blazer, but i am definately not an expert, never owned a diesel, and the FEW people i know who have, told me that that year of diesel was riddled with problems :( said they were surprised that it even made it to 200k (not the engine, that will last forever) BUT it's only 3k, so if it runs and drives right now, go for it! you'll get AT LEAST 50k miles out of it, then you can just part it out to us or buy another 2 door when it explodes :D

::edit: guess I'm still learning english...

if your brakes are smoking you are either riding them or you have a sticking caliper...

Cool, i MAY have been riding then :chair: but ill make sure something isnt sticking.

I went with a rough country 4" suspension lift. Heard a lot of bad things about it, like they dont use the same grade steel as other similar lifts, but so far it's performed great, no complaints here.
