Welcome to the party

- Sadly, the 09 was the last year with the 4L60, the 6L80 was not til the 2010 model year (with a 5.3)

- Calipers are the same, BUT different rotors and pads
My ‘09 2LT 4X4 has the 6L80

Build Date: 2009-08-24
MYC / TRANSMISSION AUTO 6 SPD, HMD, 6L-80 6-SPD A/TRANS(MYC)

Welcome to the group Chris! I am in Sterling Heights and have a GMT400 that is sold but still in my driveway waiting for some wrenching, and my new prize (besides the V) is a 2018 Tahoe PPV 4WD w 72k!

I have a bunch of extra stock and upgrade parts as well as PPV rims and tires I need to sell. Either way we should get together so we can get you all straightened out. Shoot me a PM and I'll send you my cell#

Nice to meet you Jmm! Nice score on the ‘18! Definitely interested in what you may have available. Specifically Looking for DIC buttons, and maybe a Range AFM delete. My goal is more longevity/reliability than go fast.... for now anyway!

That build date explains it.

I was going to buy a super clean '09 with only 49k miles, but was a PROD date of 5/09.......it had the 4L60.

Nice looking machine. Looks more civilian than mine, I just picked one up and it's got the steel wheels and roof rack delete.

Been noticing what I think is a lifter tick on some cold starts. Not all the time. We had some -20F mornings and it was not present.

I’m trying to correlate it to something. Like did it get to full OT last drive of the day before parking overnight, or was I doing a lot of highway driving where the AFM would have been kicking in more presumably?

I ordered a Range Disabler to hold me over until Springtime when I can do a cam/lifter swap and tune. Leaning towards a Brian Tooley kit. Might wind up boosting in the summer.

Only on my second oil change with Mobil 1 advanced full synthetic, extended performance, high mileage 5w30 since taking ownership.
