Did you do projectors or just throw HIDS in the stock headlights? What brand? How's the output?

IMO on black try m you could get away without doing the appliqués. Up close it will be noticeable but not from far away

Did the full retro. I took advantage of the TRS Black Friday sale. Mini D2S projectors, Morimoto XB35 ballasts and XB35 4500k bulbs. Sealed up in Eagle Eye headlamps with Apollo 3.0 shrouds. Was a process but output is worth it. Sharp blue cutoff with some amazing color I'm still getting used to.

Thanks Serge, Goodinblack and others for all the posts that made me do my first retrofit. :roflbow:

There is no comparison to how much better the retro is vs the hids in stock headlamps. I did it for a couple months until my retro was completed. I rode dirty for about a week before I ordered the retro kit.

I'll try the G5's without the appliqués and see how it goes. As it is already the Denali tails have a large contour on them and blend well with the black so I'm sure I'll be fine. (For awhile at least) After all summer isn't too far away and can't spend all my boat fund early.

Here are a few that I took with my phone. I need to find a good location to get a better output shot. Truck is on a slant but you can see the sharp cut off.

Thanks!

Black Flame Customs sells the complete retro. They are one of the forum vendors there is a link on the side of the page. They've done a few for some members on here.

Lee, I copied your homo booties for the baking process. Glad I did that as the legs became very soft in the oven.

So what did it run you doing the whole set up yourself? BFC does great work, but i couldn't drop a grand on headlights.
