Are they as beat up as they look in the pic?

How close do they match the existing faux wood trim? Might take a pic w/ one next to radio trim.

Are they real or plastic?

I don't have radio trim or anything to compare but will gladly take better pics...I snagged em as a project to cover them with carbon fiber like I did the other parts on the inside but now don't want to go that way.
