I like the KN HP-2011 as well. The well that the filter goes in, while convenient, if the filter gets tight its a PITA to get off. few bucks more, but with supertech synthetic oil, youre looking at a ~35 dollar oil change. So, not breaking the bank.

What's a good oil filter for a 2011 Tahoe? Thanks.
I have come to believe that any filter that isn't named Fram is a good Filter. Fram used to be the standard for excellence, now it is the standard for awful. I prefer Wix and NAPA brand

Used AC Delco all my life with this tahoe. I used a Mobil 1 High Performance / High Mileage filter that costs way more than the AC Delco and coincidentally, my oil sending unit went bad afterwards causing my gauge to not function. I find it hard to believe that that alone caused my issue but sometimes our cars talk to us in ways they hope we can understand.

I have used only AC Delco filters on all my GM vehicles [Cadillac,Impala,Caprice, and GTO] forever. Not changing to a different filter for the Tahoe.

I like the long K&N with the nut on the end (HP-2011).

Also have used these (M1-212A):

The Mobil is on the truck now and I think the oil pressure is a hair lower when compared to the other. Someone else posted about such too. Switching back to the K&N next time to compare.

Changed the oil and filter recently, back to the K&N from the M1 filter. While not measured, the oil pressure needle is definitely a little higher now.

There are many good oil filter brands, but I prefer the Fram XG series for my vehicles. The Fram XG10060 should fit your Tahoe? at a WalMart near you?

fram is garbage I tried one :(
i had to change the filter and oil shortly after since it stopped filtering after only 1700 miles and have to spend another 50$ when i was able to get 1/2 year out of other much better filters(3500 miles)

Ive never, not once, ever......in 30 years of oil changes ever had a problem with fram filters....not sure what everyone’s problem is with them but i have a 2008 accord dd with 350k still running a Fram oil filter, 10-12k ocis with mobil 1 and never a problem with the filter.

I need a filter that last as long as possable
since my Tahoe has zero sludge in it.. why would I take a chance with a cheap paper filter I don't think the fram filter would survive 70-75PSI anyways.. that is what it's topping out at cold start up

on the cheapest fram filters they use cardboard end caps ....

CARDBOARD end caps

Well, tbh..... never said i used them on my tahoe.....

But, if they last in my dd’s for 10-12 even 15k oci’s, without incident, ever, i personally wouldn’t hesitate to use them on my trucks. But, to each their own.
