OK, Bought a 07 with a couple problems today.

Forgot about this pic. Took it sitting in the parking lot at work because of the mileage.
This was before I changed the oil pump. Also shows fuel empty when full and turns the check engine on. After about 20 miles the gauge starts working again.

My fuel gauge does something similar. Fill it and it reads empty, after 80 miles are so it reads full. Then when its used 13+ gals it reads various amounts between full and empty?
I changed the fuel pump/gauge module and nothing changed?

I have no idea. I assumed it was the sender in the tank, but I guess not. Maybe the problem is the stepper motor in the cluster?

I went to a local shop that repairs clusters etc. They loaned me another cluster for a few days and nothing changed.

Has the fuel level gauge value been compared with what a scanner shows?

No i have not. To cold wet and crapy to go out unless i have to.

Think today i'll try and get the rear lift gate fixed.
Sometimes it will open with the remote but usually not. It does open manually though. I can hear the relay or something in the back click but nothing happens with either the switch or remote. I'm assuming it's gear part with bad contacts because sometimes it will work.
Wrecking yard owes me 40 bucks so should be a free fix if the only 1 they have works.
Also, The rear window defog does not work. I check the connection at the plug under the head liner and it was all good no burnt wires.

So the rear window defog reads 14.3x volts on both sides. Maybe it is working and just need to wait till its good and iced up?

Got the lift gate motor off that 2010 Escalade I've been getting parts off of and got it installed. Its worse. It will not even lift the gate when i can hear it working so I guess I'm going to need to get a new gear thing. I also put new lift gate struts on it today but they did not help.
Can't win every battle i guess.
