UPDATE on the trans issue:

Pump isn't working. The torque converter must have slipped out just enough to come misaligned and then damaged the pump rotor while we were sliding the motor into place. That would explain the last 1/4" gap between the block and bellhousing that we were having a hard time with. So now I have to tear the trans apart and install a new pump rotor. I might as well upgrade to a 13 vane rotor since I have to replace it anyway. Hopefully someone locally will have the part so I can get my truck going by the end of the week.
Damn it:emotions122: I knew this entire swap was going way too easy...

always something.. no matter if you double check or not.. something will pop up. done that to many times also.. grrr! and sorry man, i wanna see these videos!!

Darn, that sucks! Time for the converter upgrade and tranny build? Which converter are you going with? It is going to make a WORLD of difference in performance!!!

Before or after the new power plant goes in?? :shocked:

As for the HP he is putting down now, a good estimate is ~600HP at the crank.
