Great job. I'd like to see a video of you kickin the ass end sideways down the road with a shit load of smoke.
I wish I could have taken a video. When Justin retune'd JK's truck for the 6.0, he told him that there was some sort of mechanical issue causing the passenger side of the 6.0 to run very lean. The AirFuel mixture sensor is on the driverside of the engine, which is also now running lean 17+. Long story short, Jeff took my truck back to Austin and left his in my garage.
Jeff had actually worked on my truck for a bit, then started to head back to Austin. Apparently less than a mile away from my house it started to idle rough and die.
So back to my garage it went. We took the cats off last night thinking it might be a restrictive cat, no avail. Checked over the entire engine, found a cap inside one of the SC hoses but that didn't fix the issue. Found a wire that was cut/exposed and touching the manifold - no help.
Then I helped wide-eyed and watched Jeff remove the manifold cover and check all the springs on pass side. After reinstalling the manifold gasket, we gave up as it was almost 1am I think and I had done some shots after Jeff pulled away.
So for now, I sea-foamed the tank just to get the lines as clean as they can be right now and started it up a minute at a time for a few tries. Going to look at the plugs and chekc gaps tomorrow night after work.....dead tired today. If Jeff thinks it's safe, I might idle drive it a mile to the local shop to run some diags.
I think he wants to check the bolts on the headers also...BOSS has inherited some work at the direction of the more experienced...and I'm taking calls.
This build is one for the books, up and down...up and down!
