Got it tacked in place. You can see the void or reverse shape I need to try and get. Only thing I can think of is cutting it along the line push it in and re weld. Or something like that haha.
Think Ill look at for a while, look at the other side to see how close it is.Have to scab in a piece for the inside door frame.
I think I have to weld it all in place to keep it firm then try to get the curve S shape going? I dont know,Almost time for a beer.
Got the piece tacked in. Cutting the slots gave me what I needed. Had a spot top right still had rust welder just blew through it. Cut it out and patched from behind. Much easier.
Some questions about HVAC,havent driven the truck much but noticed the "rear" button.Didn't start the truck so assuming this turns on the rear heat. Battery is disconnect so haven’t played with it. Can you have it so the rear heat turns on with the front controls? Will it work with auto start?
Thanks.
Grinding away on th back fender. Found a few more spots where it was soft. I could probably cut the whole fender lip away but don’t want to do another one. No doubt rust will re appear again By next year regardless of what I replace. At least this will only take a few hours.
