Just a basic 110V wire feed mig. With the gas. Has the A B C D for heat. I find the B setting to work the best. You have to hit the 18g patch metal and move ever so little to the OE metal otherwise you’ll blow through. Set on A I’m getting a big blob that doesn’t seam to melt in. When I do blow through which I’ve done a few times I just tack onto my patch panel and build it up. The angle the tip is at is important. Most times it’s just a quick press of the trigger move about 3/16 and press again. Do about an inch’s worth then I’m using my small cordless blower to cool the metal.

Put bondo on early this am so I could sand this afternoon. Learning to only put a little to find my low spots. 2AC6C86E-461E-49BC-9B1A-C9E76DCBC7A5.jpegWorking on the Last repair,I hope. Definitely coming along. Nicely done man.

What I like to do when I'm welding thinner material and I know I can't run long welds is lay out 1-inch sections. Every one inch make a mark and tack each one-inch mark. At some point you could bounce around, but you'll always have that layout pattern to work with. Not like you'll be doing this forever haha thought I'd throw it out there.

Yup it’s easy to get ahead of yourself and make to much heat.

Sanding bondo again. Had a flaw in the paint I did last. Made a tiny sanding block to knock down the filler I added. Hah worked good I just re coated it. A3EC1A3E-91B1-4E2F-A038-69C02FA8D603.jpeg
