hey guys i was going to start to modify the performance of my tahoe just want it to be funner to drive im thinking of doing a stall converter, LT headers, and a BB tune here are my questions if you guys can answer them all

1)ive heard the trailblazer v6 stall is a good upgrade because its a higher stall is this a good upgrade? and where can i get one and what would be the cost to have one installed?

2)ive been looking at LT pacesetter headers are these a good choice?

3) i live in colorado does anybody know if LT headers will pass emissions? what is required to install LT headers? is any modifications needed or are they FBO?

4)any other mods anybody recomends that wont be too high in costs? ive got a corvette servo CAI and a flowmaster muffler

5)i want to get these things cleared up soo prices on the stall and headers and the installation costs are something i want to get an estimate off

thanks everyone for any help

LT headers should be fine. There should be no problem running them in Colorado. I have the Dynatechs with the free flow cats and when I lived in old Colorado city I never had any issues. I don't know about a trailblazer converter. I would look at a converter from circle D or Yank? And or adding a stage II or III shift kit to your tranny! Lower gears in the rear end will deffently add some pep to your Tahoe's step. I run 4.10's and haven't had any issues I also run a eaton rear posi locker but you can use a Alburn too. If you have the stock rear gears you prob have 3.23's and you might be happy with 3.73's but being that you have buggier rims I would say go with 4.10's. Yukon makes a nice set. As does richmand.

Rear end all said and done is prob about $1000
But it's a lot more off the line power!!! It doesn't make more power just changes the power bands per say.

Do a 6.0L swap. I am so happy I did. I also did the 4L80 swap.

hey thanks for the help man :) alright im more confident on the headers now but are they just straight bolt on or would i need any other parts? also how much would it cost to get a stall installed and the shift kit?

cost of 4.10 gears?? ive heard of the posi lock also but would the gears hurt my mpg?

i dnt want to go to crazy with it just a couple mods to make it alittle quicker..im a senior in HS and college is coming up soon so not so much room to go crazy on mods jaja soo a better question is what 3 mods can i do that would be the least expensive but still add some HP and torque? again not looking for huge HP gains just an improvement

Gears might actually help your MPG being that you have 24's. LT headers help. The pace setter with their Y pipe tho. Make sure you get it! I did mine myself I don't know what a shop would charge you prob 5 hours of labor. Make sure they are seated properly! Lower rear gears and LT headers together will really wake your Tahoe UP! Converter wise I would stay below 2800 stall for your setup hell prob 2600!

Oh and a good gasket set and lock tight

the stock v6 trailblazer stall i believe is a 2600 or 2400 they put a bigger stall because of the v6 pulling a big vehicle it wud help to get it move quicker atleast thats what ive read not too sure tho
