Problems after dod delete

The reason why it is better for you with the map unhooked is because it trips the computer into maf only made, and when it does that, it reverts to the base look up tables including the base fuel tables. You presumably have a stockish truck, so the tables it references are pretty bag on when it defaults to base calculations. If you plug the map in with a signal problem, it will assume the hooked up reading is correct.

Most people give these computers too much credit. They dont understand common sense.

Throw in timing and throttle position for the next log. Be curious to see if the truck is loading in response to the map signal.

And load. Put load in there as well. Log long and shorts, timing, rpm, throttle position and load. You can pm me the infoif the site allows, or post it up

Awesome thank u very much. I leave for work around 130pm so I'll post shortly after that. And thx for the tip on changing units. Wasnt sure how to read the pids

Cool. If you can duplicate the issue with the old Map, do a key on, non engine running scan, and load the raw voltage pid for both the map and maf signal. I will pull up a same operating system and check base voltages as well as idle voltages. That will be the quickest way to see if we are dealing with scewed signals.
Whats the saying? Remove the impossible and what remains is the answer? Something like that. Lol

Sounds good, I will post my findings lol
I am over 2500 ls engines tuned both street and on my dyno, and another 1500 for other brands. We will figure this out i promise. Just need to step back and think straight. Its easy to get upside down trouble shooting, but there is simply no such things as car ghosts. Its there. We will get this.

The throttle body is not liking the numbers coming from the MAP and MAF sensors in relation to the throttle plate position.

While observing your MAP and MAF readings, idle up slowly and smoothly to 3000 rpms and then back down again. Both the MAF and MAP should increase and come down smoothly and gradually.

Also make sure of leaks as I mentioned earlier, check the throttle plate for being loose, busted shaft, etc.
