Guys i thought i would share this modification that will help everyone with a newer truck from the damage the seatbelt does to the seat, or everyone with a older truck from the seat wearing untill it rips.

if you look at the pic you will see the damage the seatbelt does to the leather from constantly rubbing on the edge of the seat. i brought my truck used so this damage was already there when i got it .

To prevent this there is a very simple mod i have come up with.

The third row seats have a seat belt holder tucked in on the side of the seat, i bet you never use.

cut this holder off, the cable will frey at the end when you cut it, take a lighter to it and melt it and it will permemantly close the end.

pull back the rubber gasket at the by the door lock and poke a hold in the b pillar plastic and push the cable end through it, tie a knot at the end once its in. See pic.

place seatbelt inside and it will never rub the seat again......

this mod will not affect the moovement of the seat or the function of the seatbelt in any way....

once you do this you will forget its ever there. the pic is not the best but believe me its on of the best simple mods i have done

give it a shot and i bet you will do it to all your vehicles...

nope seat belt all day. i do this on all my friends new trucks. Getting in and out wears the seat but the seatbelt is what wears down the leather and makes the dye come off and eventually rip.

Interesting...i thought those things were in the rear to prevent the rear seat belts from flapping around when you have the windows down.

Cts your right its there for the kids. It makes sure the seat belt goes over their chest.

If you guys don't believe me rub the seatbelt edge on the bottom of your arm as if to simulate pulling on it to fasten your seat belt. Do this a dozen times and see how irritated your arm gets.
