the braintrust over on el-es-juan-tech.com is convinced the sonnax "extreme duty" aermet shafts will get me up and keep me going:


so thats uh, 1700$ in shafts :emotions122:
usually the pump gets tore up @400$ or so i think
and then to actually build it will be another 1200ish

This thread reminds me of the way that Rolls-Royce used to test their Merlin aircraft engines during WWII. They would pull every 10th or so engine off the line and test it to destruction (e.g. high RPM, high power, etc). Then, fix whatever broke with better designs and manufacturing processes.
