so thats uh, 1700$ in shafts
usually the pump gets tore up @400$ or so i think
and then to actually build it will be another 1200ish

i ordered shafts because it looks like its going to be a few weeks to get them anyway
pretty sure tranny shop has no way to get them any faster so ill just tell them they are ordered

This thread reminds me of the way that Rolls-Royce used to test their Merlin aircraft engines during WWII. They would pull every 10th or so engine off the line and test it to destruction (e.g. high RPM, high power, etc). Then, fix whatever broke with better designs and manufacturing processes.
