alrighty fellers. axles.
need to be 3" longer than they are, a little much for spacers.
im going to try and change out the wheel hub side of the newer axles, but that joint doesnt come apart so easily... i have a few old ones im going to see if i can get the spline end off without ruining the joint (so i can rebuild a new one). the 2010+ cv axles are about 2" longer than the 2010- cv axles. i will probably still need a little bit of a spacer 1/2-1" can probably work , which i already have.
the 1500 axles are the same length and have the 33spline wheel side, but the inner bolt pattern is smaller and 6 bolts (2010+ 2500 is 8bolt) thought about getting a solid spacer about an inch thick and trying to make an adapter but the best ill be able to do is thread into the spacer, which most are aluminum and im not to confident that will hold up

with a "looming" cost of RCV axles @2600$ that should definitely work, im up for trying a few things before i bend over and order those

It sucks you don’t have a selectable T case and can run 2wd till you feel like getting the RCVs

watched some youtube vids on rebuilding the outer cv joint. confidence is high...that is if they use the same sized parts for the joint between the two

also am a complete ass...probably a month or two ago i had the axles i needed (cause i stole the inner cup off for being lowered at the time) but threw them out after looking at them in garage for 2 years

I looked at rebuilding my cv axles on the avalanche instead of buying china repops. Cost was about the same and none of the hassle. I don't recall anything being overly difficult though.

every.single.time

also had garbage men a little pissy, cause i threw it out with old rotors, control arms (bushings and BJs were shot) and some other heavy stuff
I do that shit a little at time so they don't get pissed and cancel my service. I'm not sure what you're supposed to toss in there, but I sneak a lil this, lil that in there from time to time
