got spacer from cognito in....they gave me a little harder of a time ordering but just told them i bought a truck with their lift kit on it and it needed one spacer

it moves, it drives.... i think i was slightly retarded when i thought "backing it back down to 8-900hp" was going to be safe this thing is a fkin death trap. it makes some nice chatter type sounds if you try to get in it real hard - im not too sure its the axles, may be the transfer case jumping teeth, could be big ass tires trying to spin and shaking everything i dont know, but it sounds horrible. you can roll into it and it doesnt seem to do it, but even 50mph or so if you stomp it, it chatters a lil. i didnt want to repeat till breakage just yet. going to wait till i have more axles on hand in the event it is just chewing up the axles. if its the transfer case i dunno, may gather some parts to swap it to a 246hd or something, but then i gotta deal with high/low and crap. i can probably engage 4x4 and front diff pretty easy but i dont know just yet.

drove it for a little 40mi round trip got it up to 75-80mph, temps stayed good, trans still slamming gears so i put abunch of stuff back to stock to see if that would soften them up...may feed in a little torque management. ac blows cold as hell, temps never even touched 190* with ac on full time, little bit of stop and go, trans temp stayed under 160. when i ditch the old front struts/spacer i think the ride will be more stable (along with alignment). and i think im going to turn the rear pinion up a little, no shakes or anything but it just doesnt seem right.

---------------------------------------------------------
took the ctsv to track to messed around some,
first run i just got in lanes, no time to cool down, didnt even pop the hood....hellcat wanted the business and he got it- he ran a 10.9 and lost to my 11.2  not sure if he thought he had me covered that bad and let me run out some but i really hope he wasnt on a drag radial cause i tree'd him, out 60'd, and there just wasnt enough track for him to catch up
second run was against my friends bolt on c5, he been trying to get the thing to launch for a while and just swapped converters. 1.5 isnt amazing by any stretch but finally going in the right direction some more tweaking and hopefully itll cut 1.5s all day/1.4x would be sweet to see out of it.
still on 19" street tire too :deal:

i may end up gutting the cats or putting some long tubes on, i think the cats are cooked in this thing...wont even make a 1/4 pull without going into cat overtemp mode and dumping a ton of fuel even with a very long cool down, i can keep bumping up the temp threshold to keep it out of COT but i think its just making it worse. i could probably put this thing in the 10s all tune in the right air if it werent for that crap. its happy with ethanol around 50% (its sitting at about 40% tonight) ive been kind of blindly blending it, that is ill run tank down put about 10 gallons of 93 in and top it off with e85 (6-7 gallons). and since i cant stand an obnoxiously loud car (i think long tubes and stock exhaust isnt that bad, but noticeable) that is no faster than stock i will probably do a few mods with the headers to make sure its faster

I figured it would want to spin on those tires. I'm sure you'll be able to manage it via pedal.
Nice passes in the V. There as hellcat here that runs nearly identical to that one (1/8 mile. No 1/4 mile around me), on street tires. I only know this because Steph and I put about a car length on him when my car was still on street tires. I was sitting at the red light light, see challenger pulling up. I didn't notice it was a hellcat or I probably wouldn't have messed with it. I got the hit on him just a bit, peddled and short shifted to second. I started pulling off about 50 and kept on pulling to a little over 100 or so. A car pulled out and had to let out. We pulled over a blabbed for a bit. He told me what it ran. He was "king of the streets" supposedly. I asked if he wanted it again from a faster roll. My car does great from 4k on up. He declined:rolleyes:

the usually nowadays :emotions122:
those slips are almost 2 hours apart.. couldve got there early and maybe had a another. but i wasnt up for waiting another 2 hours to go again
I hear ya! Last time we were there was the same, too many knuckleheads fouling the track with their junk dropping parts all the way down the track. I made a run and then let my youngest daughter make her first pass ever and by then it was after 11 and time to go home.

figured out what the banging was....front diff/driveshaft moving under load, hitting the exhaust (turbo crossover) and sway bar lol, chewed up the ujoint strap bolts a little. i'll admit it was about a finger gap away from it prob a little less than 1/2" thought itd be fine, apparently not - it moved a lot more than i anticipated.

and i also need to have a word with the QC dept monday morning...as im under there digging around i look over and a whole ass bolt is missing out of my caliper :emotions122: and its just hanging on by the top bolt pretty free to do whatever tf it wants. other side is also loose! so i need to order atleast a one new one, probably a couple.

i spaced the sway bar fram brackets down about 1/4" and also make the links longer (i had cut down the ones provided in one of the lift kit boxes i got) but different box i ordered also had some links in it. so i went back to long links which rotated the sway bar under the engine and its a solid 1"+ away from the front diff now.

crossover that i doodoo welded up im going to cut off and drop it down some more i guess, give it atleast a 1" gap also, not to terribly mad about it cause i wanted to make that look better anyway.

front diff - couldnt use the differential brace provided with the lift kit cause some ******* put a 9.25ifs in here. its kinda halfass for now, but the bracket that the diff brace is supposed to go it kinda right by a rib on the differential. so i threw in (left over lift kit parts) this 3/8x12" grade 8 bolt through those two tabs and over to the side of the control arm drop bracket. the diff hits it about an inch away from the tabs it will flex some still im sure but it would have to bend the grade 8 bolt to move any at all.

and i got a headlight out
