Rattle in the rear

I would ride in the back while someone drives as was suggested. Have found many squeaks and rattles that way and have even ridden in a trunk or two.

My rattle came from the rear roof rack cross bar. Moved it forward one slot and that fixed it. Driving I was sure it came from down low and searched in vain.

Check the vertical plastic moldings above both rear light clusters to ensure that they are not loose.

They snap in with a screw at the bottom underneath the top of the light cluster, if I remember correctly.

They have a threaded clamp that you tightnen and holds the slot.

I finally found the rattle.It was the upper shock mount.The bushings were shot.When it was on the lift you couldn’t hear it because all the weight from the suspension.When I lightly bounded on the rear bumper it took 2 seconds for my buddy to see it.Thanks to all that responded.
