Ahh, I see the gap. Maybe squirt a little silicone in there and hold it together with a strap til it dries. It all held together on the donor. They sell those lenses seperately--maybe you can ask @bottomline2000 if he'll sell his spare cluster--if he still has it.
I have the Denali cluster cover from @Tonyrodz that is a color match. I installed it only to switch back to my factory black background with Denali gauges since it didn't match my interior. They sell just the lense cheap, but @Rocketman let me know if you interested.

Thanks; I ordered just the lens for $22. I'll need to glue it on but that should be cake.

Yeah, I saw them on eBay. Looks pretty straight forward. I have no plans to ever use the one I have. Maybe add a trans temp gauge and sell it?..hmm

Got the lens in today. The old one was attached by some sort of black adhesive but it peeled right off. I used some thin strips of 3M VHB tape for the new one. It didn't fit the curves perfect and I would have had to tape it together while silicone cured if I used that. The VHB tape worked great so if you need to replace a lens this is a viable solution. Once installed, you can't even see the edges.

I took The Beast on a 300-mile trip last weekend and I thought I felt a problem a couple times when I hammered the throttle on the way there, like it was misfiring. Immediately I thought about plug wires again but on the way home it ran fine. I hooked up the Tech 2 yesterday and it didn't show any misfires that were alarming, just a couple here and there. Cylinder 6 seemed a few too many but that was the plug wire I had replaced a month or so ago. I checked it anyway and as I went to pull it off the plug it just came right off; only the boot was holding it on. I looked inside the wire and it was damaged from all the arcing. I'm amazed that it ran good for so long with the connector barely touching the plug! I found another wire on #4 that was burned a bit at the boot so I replaced it. It ran great today on my commute, tore up the interstates in town. But I'm tired of burned wires even with the fiberglass heat protectors so I ordered some Taylor 10 mm race wires which are supposed to stand up to heat better and also ordered their color-matched (red of course) heat protectors. they're more expensive than the EBay ones I'm running but they state they're good to 1200 degrees.

I need covers something like that. 1 or 2 of my covers have burned some, from hitting the headers. They're also supposed to be rated somewhere around the 1200-1400 degree range--I say bull$hit! Glad you found them in red:D.

Yeah I’m on my second set and they keep burning too. At least they look like they’re burned, and some plug wires have burned too like I mentioned. Hope the Taylor stuff is better.

Gotta let us know how you make out. I've had mine over 1 yr with 0 issues--granted I'm not supercharged--YET! I think you'll be good. They have the nice boots that are made for headers.

That's one reason I had my headers ceramic coated. I run Taylor wires with the e Bay heat shields (reds faster of course) and a couple turned white that were in contact with the headers but luckily haven't burned thru. I just moved them off the header. I pulled a couple and all is well, nothing burned. Hopefully the new plugs and covers work out. be095b250d8f42d7f5188cf7623d4e5f.jpg
