Hey all,

Looking at new pads and rotors. Nothing too crazy, mayby slotted. Curious what you guys run? Also going to to be putting on a new parking brake.

If you're doing new pads and rotors on the front it's a perfect time to also get new calipers because the larger NNBS rotors fit with no modification. There's lots of info here on the upgrade, search for GMT900 front brake upgrade. They're an inch bigger rotor. The only extra cost to upgrade is for the calipers, and the rebuilt ACDelco's are pretty cheap on Amazon, around $70 each I believe.

Jeez RR, if I had your wheels I think I'd have 20" Rotors too :)

OP- Powerstop rotors and pad are inexpensive and great stoppers....Always flush you brake lines too when you do brake job..

I`m running R-1 concepts Eline slotted and drilled for about three years and the rotor hats are still completely rust free and look great. No warping or cracking either and they`re having a 10% off sale right now.

thinking ceramic, bucause i hate dust. i have some killer pads on my Silverado. they dust up in 2 days.

not a fan on the drilled, and slotted. its one or the other, or solid. Too much surface area is taken away.

I bought the drilled and slotted ones but if I was to do it again I'd just get the slotted ones. I haven't had any problems and they work great but I've heard for big heavy SUV's the drilled ones can develop cracks. Here's a shot of the difference in size between the 07-14's NNBS and the 00-06's NBS. Funny thing is, our rears are bigger than the 07-14's. This is a great upgrade for very little money.
