Well...looks like my torque wrench failed me on my first bolt tightening...snapped the bolt at 44 foot lbs...now I have to take it all back off to get that bolt out...FML...

Yeah that’s a lot of torque for either an exhaust manifold OR intake manifold bolt. Where did you get the torque specs?

I just entered torque spec for 5.3l engine...the videos I've watched also said the same thing...two passes 1st at 44lbs and second at 89lbs. This is the page I printed.cd231361349d028832106935ea2a125d.jpg

Would these apply to the intake manifold? This says exhaust manifold.

The page you printed is for the intake manifold. I posted specs for both exhaust and intake manifold as I wasn't sure which one you were referencing in your original post

The torque specs listed would be INCH pounds, not foot pounds. 44 inch pounds = 3.7 foot pounds

Oops. Not the first time I’ve seen this. If you torqued your intake manifold bolts to 44 ft lbs you might have wrecked it. It’s plastic and not meant for that kind of force.
