I have read where I can lower the rear of my tahoe without too much modification by removing the blocks from the rear end and swapping in 2wd u bolts. Does anyone have a write up of what I need to do with some part numbers and maybe some pics of this setup? I don't want to slam my hoe to the ground, and I don't want to lift the front, but I do want it to sit level. This seems to be the best option for me, but I just cant seem to find much info on it.

Thanks in advance.

2007 Tahoe LT 4x4 no air ride.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but if they still use the 4 link in the rear, where do the U bolts come from? axle U bolts are used on leaf spring equipped vehicles. is it a 2500? do they still use leaf springs on the 2500? if they do, and there are blocks between the axle and spring pack, then yes, remove the blocks and put the shorter U bolts back in.

To tell you the truth, I haven't even looked under it, I was just going off of what I had read on here.

your looking in the wrong section bud. tahoe's haven't had leaf springs in the rear since 2000.

if you had a suburban, that would be different. the 2500 suburbans do have leaf springs. but thats not the case here. and if you buy a 2500 suburban to lower it, you should go ahead and buy a different vehicle.

as for actually lowering your truck, there are about 10000 different ways to do it. search around and you'll find plenty of info. try and keep your searching in the 2007+ section as that will pertain to your truck.
