Unfortunately, local dealers here only have Black and White Diamond in stock. Initially wanted either Champagne Silver or Bronze.

Dealer explained that ordering one is about 3 month wait. Sound reasonable?

Reason why I started looking now is because they say you can always get a better deal as you get closer to year end (Dealers trying to make annual quotas and such). Not sure if this is still true.

Not so much on these I wouldn't think. It this was Nov 2015 it would be. Where are you located? You should be able to search for your color or ask for a dealer trade. They are obviously gonna push their on lot inventory.

3 months is correct on the wait. Don't know why but in my area 90% of dealer stock is black or white diamond as well.

I have a 2015i XL Denali and I haven't had any braking or jerky issues.
Regarding price check out Laura GMC. They have the best prices. The price online is the real price. Add $1k if you're not trading in. I bought mine there and got their price minus $750 USAA discount. No one around me came close.

That's why I was asking his location. I bought from them as well. No need to price elsewhere once you price your build from them.

I am in Westchester NY too. A little north of you. I flew to St Louis back and forth same day and had the car shipped here. It worked out great.

Thanks for this. Will keep this mind if the deal with local dealer falls through.

hey guys, thanks for everything so far.

Well, today, I did some research regrading the various recalls affecting the 2015 Yukon.

1. The chassis control module -- a part of the vehicle's electronics system linked to the braking, steering, and suspension -- could be short-circuited by small metal fragments, possibly causing the vehicle to stall.

2. Incorrect nuts may have been used to attach the roof carrier.

3. An improperly sealed transmission line can leak, causing a fire risk.

4. General Motors LLC (GM) is recalling certain model year 2014-2015 Chevrolet Silverado and GMC Sierra vehicles, and model year 2015 GMC Yukon and Chevrolet Suburban and Tahoe vehicles. In the affected vehicles, an electrical signal short may cause the transfer case to shift to neutral without the driver's input.

No. 4 doesn't specifically mention the XL so not sure about this one.

Curious how this typically works. When a recall is issued, do the dealers basically go through their inventory and fix as needed? or is this basically the responsibility of the potential future owner? or does the dealer address these recalls each time a vehicle is sold and repair before being picked up by new owner?

Thanks in advance.

I had the dry slip yoke on my 07 escalade and god was it annoying. For a luxury GM vehicle this should not be happening.

The jerk I experience was a delayed downshift from 2nd and first gear at stop signs. Did it a few times the first day, maybe once the second and none since. Nothing severe.
