It's very common to hang them close together to maintain higher stability margins. You mention needing deck space for fishin' and I can see it now all bloodied up with blackfin tuna and dolphin sliding around on deck! I'm excited for ya!

That used to be called the Gunwale (pronounced "gunnel") but now since it includes his live wells and or fish boxes it would be called a top cap if memory serves. It ties the boat together and is usually very thick for rigidity.

really no updates. my latest would be last friday when i went there and saw not much progress at all. my hopes to have it here for my 40th birthday are long gone. I'm hoping for summer at this point.

Forgot to update this... deck and cap are on. Hatches are done. Waiting on the console to go down and t-top. Engines are scheduled to deliver to them second week of April. Hoping to be in the water by the first week of May.
