Anyone have an idea when one can order a Denali with super cruise? (Non ultimate)
I don’t think anyone has an exact date, all I’ve seen by GM is “late availability” for 2023 model year. So maybe spring? And I’m sure Escalades and ultimate Sierra/Yukon’s would be first to receive since those are the top end models.

Right; but…at most of my nearby Jeep dealers, there are minimum 1 and usually 3-5 wagoners/grand wagoners on the lot in stock. Can’t find any Tahoe/Yukon/Esky or long versions on the lot anywhere…will see what happens; but for now, GM still winning this thing…and it’s not really close.
I suppose it would depend on how someone defines "winning". Winning, to me at least, is a trend that someone is doing better than before. Having won is a state at a particular point in time.

GM appears to have allowed new competitors gain a foothold on the full size 1/2 ton SUV market instead of denying them entry by not only have an excellent product, but also the production capacity to prevent other competitors from entering the market.

To me, that doesn't feel like GM is "winning" but I wouldn't say they are losing.

If you compare 2022 Q1 and 2022 Q2, the increase in sales of the Wagoneer/Grand Wagoneer is actually impressive. And they haven't even started producing the Wagoneer L/Grand Wagoneer L models yet.
I agree these are impressive numbers, especially from the Wagoneer. Also keep in mind the mid-cycle refresh to the Expedition is making their Q2 2022 numbers look worse than they actually would be if they if they weren’t in a transition phase.

Just an update. I had seen my dealer buddy on monday at our county fair, and he said my ride was still on for TPW of next week 9/12. He called me about 2 hours ago and said he had just looked to double check it hadn't gotten bumped, and it showed built. So he looked deeper and found it is acutally built and has a VIN and estimated delivery date of 10/23. He was going to contact GM to make sure it was on the HOT ship list (he says that it is used for customer orders to ship them ahead of dealer stock vehicles), but says that may get it to move quicker or may not. Just was surprised it was built and has a VIN already. a pleasant surprise for sure.

it seems like either a lot had theirs stuck in midlothian for a long while, or had to wait months for gm to decide to build them. I think GM still has issues with getting parts for vehicles (chips etc) but i think they are figuring out how to build what needs to get built and not have vehicles stuck waiting for parts. and those that are still stuck are still waiting on the parts that they cant get for even unbuilt orders.

The wagoneers are just too ugly in my opinion, they look good from the front then u go side profile and your like ummm. GM’s big 3 are just awesome looking rigs and yea when GM sells 2-3x the amount of suvs vs Ford it’s hard to compare the shortages.
I didn’t like them when they first came out. In fact I’m still a bit iffy on every angle of it, but it’s certainly starting to grow on me.

I will say, the videos I’ve watched of the interior blow the Yukon away. I’ll try to see it in person in the next few weeks to determine if it looks as good in person and is truly quality material.

Also the 10,000 towing capability is really damn good

Oh boy, my interpretation of late availability was that I could place an order Nov/Dec. Not sure I can wait that long

I would go for an ultimate, but I don’t care for the wheels, not sure it looks nice in white, and while I like the color of the brown leather, I feel the combination with black side bolster and black plastic seats looks cheap…at a sneeze under $100K for a GM SUV, it shouldn’t look cheap

I almost pulled trigger on a black ultimate xl few weeks ago but I wasn’t happy with our trade in for our 21 Tahoe. And after that I was like ya know for $98k I’d rather get a Escalade sport in white with whisper beige/black interior for $4k more. It wouldn’t have air ride or retractable steps but I’d be ok with that. I think the steps are actually too slow of a mechanism, they just look really cool at night lol

Someone has a white grand wagoneer near me and it does look really good from front view, I just can’t get over the back end.
